Carrie-Anne Moss Takes on Arnold Schwarzenegger in 'FUBAR' Season 2

Netflix and  Arnold Schwarzenegger announced back in 2023 that he’ll “be back” as Luke Brunner for more laughs and shenanigans in FUBAR Season 2. We finally have a release date! The second season of FUBAR will hit Netflix this summer on June 12.

“Season 2 is bananas,” creator Nick Santora (Reacher, Prison Break) told Tudum when the series was initially renewed. “We’re coming up with some real fun surprises for FUBAR fans in Season 2, for sure.”

The big surprise? Carrie-Anne Moss has joined the cast for season 2. Fresh off her stint in Star Wars: The Acolyte, she has been cast as the villain and nemesis/ex-lover of Luke. She will play a German spy named Greta Nelso.

Nick Santora continued, “They are icons. They know how to do action, be funny, and create full and engaging characters. So it was great to just sit back and watch them do their thing.”

The official logline for Season 2 reads, “Luke Brunner (Schwarzenegger) is a veteran CIA operative who, up until recently, was on the verge of retirement. After his last mission saving another operative — who just so happened to be his daughter Emma (Monica Barbaro) — he’s back in Season 2 to battle against new adversaries, one of whom is an old flame from Luke’s past (Moss), who threatens to destroy the world ... if she doesn’t destroy his life first.”

These two action stars seem like a match made in heaven. Why haven’t we seen them together before? Season 2 promises to be full of stunts, comedy, perhaps romance and of course action packed. We definitely cannot wait for these two powerhouses to go toe to toe in a no holding back fight scene.

In addition to Aronld, Brielle and Barbara Eve Harris, who played Dot in Season 1 will be returning for Season 2.

Are you excited for this team up? Let us know in the comments.
