La La Anthony Pilot 'Group Chat' Heads to Hulu

La La Anthony is headed back to our television screens with a new pilot. The mogul has partnered with Hulu that will see her new pilot come to life with the help of her best friend Kim Kardashian. 

Anthony will star and executive produce the series titled Group Chat, which is being sold as a comedy based on her best-selling The Love Playbook: Rules for Love, Sex, and Happiness. Creator of black-ish and its spin-off series, Kenya Barris, will assist in the making of the series and executive-produce alongside Adam Kassan and Kim Kardashian. There are big names behind the project and Hulu is hoping to cash in on their popularity. 

Craig Erwich, President of Disney Television Group and Karey Burke, President of 20th Television said together that, “Kim is a multi-hyphenate in every sense of the word, who has her finger on the pulse of the zeitgeist while simultaneously helping to define it. Her success in television with our teams — from The Kardashians to American Horror Story: Delicate — coupled with her ability to capture the imaginations of millions, puts her in the unique position to develop and produce stories that will undoubtedly pierce the culture.” referring to Kim Kardashian’s overall deal. 

The logline reads, “Five fly, successful women in their 40s who have conquered L.A. and seemingly have it all. But behind their picture perfect lives is a secret group chat where the real drama unfolds. In their world, the truth is messier, more unfiltered, and juicier than anyone could imagine.”

La La Anthony is a well known figure in the Black community. From her days of hosting video countdowns and reality competitions for love, La La Anthony has built herself an empire and is more than just the former wife of an NBA star. Her and her ex-husband Carmelo Anthony are building generational wealth for their son. From VJ to actress and now executive producer making things happen behind the scenes as well as on screen, it appears that the sky is the limit for La La Anthony.
